Hugo Crosthwaite:
Artist Talk and Works-in-Progress Showing

Join Mana Contemporary Chicago's visiting resident artist Hugo Crosthwaite for an artist talk and works-in-progress showing of his newest project, Heroic Procession, exploring Homer's character, Odysseus, who, like Mexican immigrants, chose to travel to a foreign land for opportunity. The work takes form in a drawing mural and endurance performance in collaboration with performance artist Theresa Magario. Hugo Crosthwaite was born in Tijuana, Mexico, in 1971 and currently lives and works between Tijuana, Los Angeles, and Brooklyn.

A light lunch of local Pilsen fare will be served before the talk.
