UIC Maker Residency Workshop

The UIC School of Art and Art History has partnered with Mana Contemporary to build an innovative off-campus center for education and production.

Among UIC’s Mana Contemporary Chicago spaces is a workshop for classes and lectures, where the program will join other organizations and its resident artists to offer community programming.

The School of Art and Art History unites the theory, practice and history of the visual arts into an interwoven curriculum designed to produce practitioners who have a strong knowledge of the historical and theoretical underpinnings of their art, alongside historians and theorists who have an equally strong understanding of visual culture and the creative practice that produces significant work.
