Kayla Anderson is an artist and writer based in Chicago. Using a playful approach to methods of excavation, her work engages with cultural artifacts of the past in order to propose parallel worlds. She is a Visual Arts Fellow of the Luminarts Cultural Foundation and has been an artist in residence at ACRE, Wisconsin, Elsewhere Museum, North Carolina, and the Chicago Artists Coalition. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Visual and Critical Studies both from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2014. Her work has been exhibited at festivals, galleries, and museums in the US and abroad.
