Museum of Contemporary Photography: "Picture Me" Student Exhibition

Now in its fifteenth year, this annual student exhibition features works made by teens who participate in “Picture Me”, an after school photography program sponsored by the Museum of Contemporary Photography at Columbia College Chicago (MoCP) at three Chicago high schools: Curie Metropolitan High School, Juarez Community Academy, and Nicholas Senn High School. This year, the exhibition will be hosted by Mana Contemporary Chicago. The exhibition will be co-taught by teams of working artists. This program approaches teens as independent artists, helping them gain a strong technical foundation as they work toward developing their own vision and style. Examining and discussing the work of professional artists is integral to the program, and the curriculum is further enhanced by field trips to the MoCP and other cultural venues.
